GPY + Associates Engineering Inc. provides full service mechanical consulting design services (HVAC, plumbing and drainage, and fire protection design services) for commercial, residential and institutional buildings and facilities. The firm was established in 2004, and the principal members of the firm have been involved in the design of a wide variety of new and retrofit building projects that span the majority of building and facility types.
We are LEED accredited and are knowledgeable in sustainable building design. Our central philosophy is to provide a design that exceeds the client’s expectations for the performance of the facility, while maximizing the following related aspects:
- Energy efficiency/ reduction of operating costs.
- ‘Green’ building design, sustainability of systems and equipment. Staff is LEED 2.0 accredited by the USGBC.
- Built-in flexibility for the client to incorporate future changes to layouts.
- Ease of maintaining equipment and systems.
- Working within the client’s construction budget.
We provide full service consulting engineering for all of our projects, including meeting with client groups to understand the needs of the client before beginining the detailed design process, production of mechanical drawings for building permit submission and tender calls, evaluation of contractors tender documents and recommendations of the sucessful contractor, site review during construction with written deficiency/ progress reports, review of contractors progresss billing claims, and final certification of the installation at the completion of construction.
