GPY+ Associates Engineering Inc. is actively involved in the design of many energy efficient and innovative systems for a variety of projects. We have designed large geothermal heat pump installations including the 600 ton open loop geothermal HVAC system for the Hub, a 600 suite, 5 apartment tower complex in Waterloo. We have designed geothermal heating/cooling systems for two church projects in Toronto and Oshawa (65 ton and 80 tons respectively). These projects also include heat recovery ventilation systems, in-floor radiant heating, variable speed pumping, and direct digital controls to reduce energy consumption and improve system diagnostics.

We have achieved the maximum federal grant of $60,000 under the CBIP energy conservations program for a long term care facility in Orillia.

We are the mechanical design engineers for the Chapelview Apartments in Brampton, (15 storey residential building with 6 levels of underground parking). This project has been granted a LEED platinum rating, which is the first high rise residential building in Canada to achieve this rating.

We have designed chiller replacements for Sears Canada, utilizing magnetic bearing chillers for maximum efficiency and lowest operating costs.  We have designed high efficiency boiler plant installations, including new boiler plants to remove buildings from central steam utility networks.

We strive to provide the most efficient and cost effective designs for all projects, to maximize energy savings for the client, and to reduce the carbon footprint of the completed project.
